I’m Dan Bowes, born and bred in Consett; the town that was literally built on steel and a good bit of stubbornness.

Over the years I’ve somehow ended up juggling a few things… from mixing cocktails and running wild events as Mr Mix, to helping businesses look good & stand out with Mixign, to building The BIG Consett Directory and the STEEL Card to keep local money where it belongs, in DH8.

I’m not a politician, I’m not a suit, and I’m definitely not someone who sits quietly in the corner.

I’m just a lad from Consett who cares about where he’s from and wants to make it better, one mad idea at a time.

It’s a bit chaotic, a bit creative, and a lot of hard graft… but that’s pretty much me summed up.
